About Us

My name is Josiah, the owner of Berry Sound Acoustics (BSA). I have been studying sound since I was seven years old. At a young age, I began learning how to play instruments, and spent time playing in my father’s bands. I also learned how to play classical music and focused on clarinet and percussion. However, I took major interest in sound engineering.

I attended Hiram College, and received a degree in communication with a focus on event planning and production, graduating in 2016. In addition to communication, I took classes in the theatre department to further my theatrical staging, lighting, rigging, and sound techniques. During my tenure at Hiram, I managed all events on campus working in collaboration with artists such as 3OH!3, Kid Ink, Mario, and B.o.B. I have also worked on several other major events including the Minnesota Orchestra's summer 4th of July Concert series and the 2012 fishing opener for former Minnesota Governor, Mark Dayton.

BSA has over 20 years of experience having done hundreds of events of all sizes over the years. We can provide production for a diverse range of events whether it is a live band or a DJ. Additionally, we offer lighting packages and have rigging options available for larger events. If you need a DJ, we have a network of DJs that we work with too! We also have rental inventory and production services available for weddings, proms, DJs, etc.
